This Privacy Policy explains how Hint Rush handles information when you visit https://www.hintrush.live or play our casual multiplayer word guessing game.
Information you provide while playing
Hint Rush is currently built so players can join games without creating an account. During gameplay, you may provide a nickname, room code, room settings, guesses, and other short gameplay messages. This information is used to make the room work: showing who is playing, checking guesses, displaying system hints, scoring levels, and helping players rejoin when appropriate.
Please choose nicknames and messages carefully. Do not include private personal information in your nickname, guesses, or room names. Other players in the same room may see the gameplay content you submit.
Information collected automatically
Like most websites, Hint Rush may receive technical information automatically when you visit or play. This can include your browser type, device type, operating system, approximate time of access, pages requested, referring page, IP address as recorded by server logs, and similar diagnostic information. Hosting providers commonly process this information to deliver the site, protect infrastructure, investigate errors, and prevent abuse.

These events help us measure ad quality and avoid optimizing only for low-quality link clicks.
We do not send Meta player names, room codes, room tokens, words, hints, guesses, email addresses, phone numbers, or payment details. Meta may process browser and device information according to its own policies. You can limit or block this type of tracking through browser settings, privacy tools, and platform ad preferences.
Cookies and local storage
Hint Rush may use cookies, browser local storage, or similar browser storage to keep the game usable. This can include a session token, room/player state, saved nickname, sound or display preferences, and other lightweight settings needed for gameplay. These values help the browser remember your current room, reduce repeated setup, and keep the experience smoother if the page refreshes.
You can clear this information through your browser settings. Clearing browser data may remove your current game session, saved preferences, or ability to reconnect to a room from the same browser.
How we use information
We use information to provide the game, operate rooms, process hints and guesses, calculate scores, prevent abuse, troubleshoot errors, understand usage, improve features, and keep the site reliable. We do not use gameplay information to offer real-money gambling, and Hint Rush does not currently sell paid purchases.
We may review aggregated or technical information to decide which parts of the game need attention, such as mobile layout problems, room stability, word quality, or performance issues.
Sharing and service providers
We do not sell your personal information. We may share or process information with service providers that help us operate the website, such as web hosting, database services, analytics providers, security tools, and technical infrastructure. These providers process information for practical site operation and measurement.

Children and family use

Data retention, security, and choices
Game rooms and gameplay history may be temporary and may be removed as part of normal operation, cleanup, maintenance, or abuse prevention. Server logs and analytics records may be retained as needed for security, diagnostics, legal, and operational purposes.
We use reasonable measures to protect the site and database, but no online service can guarantee perfect security or uninterrupted availability.
